Schorenstrasse 37

Brienz is a pearl in the bernese oberland in Switzerland that is located at the turqoise colored lake Brienz at the bottom of the Rothorn mountain (2350 meters above sea level).
The old village is famous for traditional woodcarving and is the home of a traditional violin-building school.
Strolling through the old part of the village you can see a lot of traditional chalets.
A great place for short walks is the quai next to the lake where you can almost feel the breath of the Brienzersee with its fascinating atmosphere.
Brienz is an ideal startingpoint for many excursions and activities. The train- and shipping-station, the pier for the excursion ship and the valley station of the Brienzer Rothornbahn (historic rack railway going up to the top of the Brienzer Rothorn) are within walking distance.
Brienz is well reachable by car or train (via Bern or Luzern).
There are a lot of activities in summer and winter. Wintersports are possible in Meiringen-Hasliberg, Axalp or Grindelwald with the famous mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In summer you can go swimming in the Brienzersee or go hiking around the lake or one of the countless routes in the mountains.
